Using Roll Paper

When using roll paper, prepare the spindle, and
install the roll paper onto the spindle, and then set
it on the printer. Because the roll paper is heavy,
have two people set the roll paper.

Preparing the spindle

The spindle for this printer is a 2/3-inch dual
tension roll feed spindle.
Attach or remove the gray attachments according
to the size of the core.
Removing the gray attachments (using 2-inch
core)
Slide the black movable flange off the end of the
spindle. Remove the gray attachments from the
flanges.
Note:
Keep the gray attachments in a safe place for future
use.
Attaching the gray attachments (using 3-inch
core)
Slide the black movable flange off the end of the
spindle. Attach the gray attachments to the
flanges, matching the four arrows.
Attaching the roll paper to the
spindle
When installing the roll paper onto the spindle,
follow the steps below.
A
Place the roll paper on a flat surface such as
a table top and insert the paper roll so that
it is wound to the left as seen from the fixed
flange (gray).
If the edges of the roll paper are not aligned,
align them before inserting the roll paper.
B
Slide the roll paper onto the spindle and
onto the fixed flange (gray) until it fixes into
place.
