6.2 Safety information for setting up

The safety switch and activator must be connected to each other (door closed), after
which the machine can be started. This is done via the Emergency Stop – ON/OFF – switch.

6.3 Potential faults and their elimination

Fault
Flaring head turns in wrong
direction
Tube slips
Tube sticks too far out of the
clamping jaws
Tube – flaring dimensions
do not match
Despite properly set stops
the tube is not correctly
flared (formed)
Possible causes
Direction of rotation on CEE
power plug (phase) incorrect
Spindle insufficiently tightened.
Friction on spindle too high.
Tool wear (Clamping jaw
holding grooves).
Insert or clamping jaw wrongly
inserted
Stops not set or wrongly set
Unusual tube o.d. or i.d.
tolerances
The stops have shifted

Recommended measures
Change phase on the CEE
power plug with a screwdriver
Tighten the spindle and if
necessary change the tools.
Clean the spindle and smear
with grease (e.g. Q NB 50
from Klüber).
Turn insert and clamping jaw
through 180° and insert again
Reset the stops
New setting dimensions must be
determined. Parker can help
if a sample of the tubing can
be made available.
Bore hole gauge (basic
settings) of stops and check
positional readings.
