2.1.3 Dangers and how to avoid them

Safe working on the machine requires a combination of machine, controls, tooling, pro-
tection equipment and proper safety behaviour by the user.
In the majority of machine accidents, injuries are caused by self-closing tools. In these
cases mainly finger and hand injuries are involved. The risk of injury applies equally to
other people as well as to machine operators.

2.1.4 Usage in accordance with specification

The Parflange 170 ECO flaring machine is intended to be used for tube end forming by a
rotational procedure for the F37 flange system and is a workshop machine for jobbing
production.
The tubing material to be used consists of steel, super duplex, copper or CuNiFe.
Tube external diameters are from ø20 to 140mm.
Information on tube outside diameters can be found in the flange products documentation.
The tubing specification includes seamless cold-drawn and welded precision tubing with
smoothed welding seam, and normalised. Details can be found in Parker TFDE catalogue
4100, page B 15 "Tube Specifications".
Usage in accordance with the specification of this flaring machine presupposes that the
machine will be used only within the framework of the possibilities indicated by the tech-
nical specification and will be operated only when in perfect functional order.
Other usage excludes any further obligation whatsoever.
Beware! Threat to life!
There is always a threat to life when dealing with electri-
cal equipment.
In case of injury by hydraulic fluids, call for a doc-
tor immediately. There is a risk of infection!
