5 Transport, installation and starting

5.1 Packing, transportation and storage

5.1.1 Packing

Parflange® machines are shipped on a special wooden pallet which should be kept for
future transports to avoid damage.

5.1.2 Transportation

Transportation in original packing according to 3.1.1:
The machine can be transported with the help of a fork-lift truck.
Transportation without original packing:
The machine can be transported with the help of a fork-lift truck. A sticker on the lower
area indicates the rectangular tubes into which the forks should be introduced. Alternative-
ly, transportation by crane is also possible. In this case both shackles above the spindle
must be used.

5.1.3 Storage

Storage may be undertaken only in a closed, dry space and protected against mechanical
damage.
Maximum relative air humidity 80%
Ambient temperature: +5° to + 45°C
If stored for more than 14 days, the machine must be specially protected and packed.
