5.4 Checks prior to initial start-up

Prior to the initial start-up of the machine and prior to starting production, the following
points should be noted:
Check the oil level of the machine on the hand-pump and if necessary fill with hydraulic oil
(H-LP 32). In every instance the hydraulic oil used should have been processed to a clean
and filtered condition. The venting device should be turned to the "VENT" position during
working.
Check that all the necessary connections (electrical connections) have been made and
that the plugs are firmly in place.
Turn the main machine switch to the right to the "ON" position.
Operate the "I" push button (machine on). The button lights up when the machine is ready
to operate.
In the event of malfunction the machine should be switched off with the "EMERGENCY
STOP" switch and the power plug withdrawn. (The EMERGENCY STOP is located in
front of the hand-pump on the switch box).
