Introduction Scope and definitions Edwards CXS dry pumps factory fitted with Edwards EH Mechanical boosters are intended to be installed, commissioned and operated as complete combination systems. This instruction manual details only the specific information for these pumps operating together as combination systems. -

M518-00-880 Issue A Flammable atmospheres There are two flammable zones (atmospheres) associated with Edwards dry pump systems. The definitions of these two zones are as follows: External The atmosphere around the outside of the Edwards system and everywhere within the equipment where it is possible for this atmosphere to be present. -

CXS Manual M52800880. No other positions or modifications are permitted without consulting Edwards. Otherwise, there may be a risk of injury or death to people and damage to equipment and facilities. -
Page 26: Connect The Cxs/Eh Combination System Inlet To Your Process System
EH pump, you must fit a suitable inlet filter. The inlet connection is made with a standard ISO flange and Edwards trapped O-ring. Details of connecting to the inlet of the CXS/EH combination system are given in the Manual A30151880. -

5. Switch on the electrical power to the CXS and press the reset button to reset the safety interlock.
