8. Upon reaching P10, adjust Air Position and/or Fan Position to set Intake
Manifold pressure in accordance with the factory Test Fire Report or factory
provided combustion parameters.
9. It is critical to safe and reliable operation to set MV Downstream gas
pressure at P10 prior to adjusting combustion at P10 and all other
points. Using a screwdriver on the factory gas train regulator, adjust MV
Downstream to within +/- 0.05 "W.C. of the value documented on the
factory Test Fire Report or factory provided combustion parameters.
10. After setting and verifying MV Downstream, adjust P10 Gas Position as
necessary to set the O2% in accordance with the factory Test Fire Report or
factory provided combustion parameters.
11. Adjusting one parameter can influence others, repeat steps 8 through 10
as necessary.
12. Record all combustion parameters and incoming voltage in the P10
column of the I&O or MX form.
13. Verify the dynamic (high fire) incoming gas pressure meets both the
range on the data plate at the rear of the boiler and does not drop more
than 15% from the static incoming gas pressure measurement previously
recorded. If excessive incoming gas pressure drop is observed this is
typically due to undersized field gas piping and/or an undersized field line
pressure regulator. For reliable operation, the installing contractor must
resolve gas pressure issues. Recommission the boiler after gas pressure
issues are successfully resolved.
14. Re-install the cap on the factory gas train regulator. Adjustments to MV
Downstream are only made at P10.
15. Carefully check for gas leaks along the field gas piping, factory gas
train, pre-mix system (blower discharge region) and exhaust collection
and disposal systems. A GAS-Mate® 0119 combustible gas detector or
