ƒ Lighting the Burner and Setting Combustion
1. Check the Ignition Test box on the Commissioning screen, this selection
will hold the combustion system at Ignition (P0).
2. Tap the START BOILER button and wait for pre-purge and ignition to
complete.
3. Once main flame is established verify the Flue Gas Exhaust O2% at P0
matches the value on the factory Test Fire Report. To tune O2% adjust the
degrees of Gas Position as necessary. At P0 a small change in Gas Position
can have a large effect on P0 O2%.
4. Verify Boiler Status readout is "Running", uncheck the Ignition Test box, tap
either P3 or P4 Run, and confirm the selection.
5. Adjustments are not yet required upon reaching P3 or P4 unless necessary
to maintain a stable flame or satisfy the manifold Air Switch. Begin
stepping the combustion system towards P10 (100%, high fire). Each step
should be no greater than one point at a time.
6. To maintain a stable flame, adjust MV Downstream fuel pressure using
a screwdriver on the factory gas train regulator. MV Downstream is
measured downstream of the second in-series main gas valve and
upstream of the reduced port butterfly control valve, refer to Figure 8.
7. Measure Intake Manifold at each step and if necessary, adjust Air Position
or Fan Position to increase the negative pressure to ensure the Air Switch
remains satisfied before transitioning to the next point. Intake Manifold is
measured on the air valve test port tee located on the inlet (suction) side of
the combustion blower, refer to Figure 23.
