8.2 Cleaning the hob
• Remove immediately: melted plastic,
plastic foil, salt, sugar and food with sugar,
otherwise, the dirt can cause damage to
the hob. Take care to avoid burns. Use a
special hob scraper on the glass surface
at an acute angle and move the blade on
the surface.

• Remove when the hob is sufficiently
cool: limescale rings, water rings, fat
stains, shiny metallic discoloration. Clean
the hob with a moist cloth and a non-
abrasive detergent. After cleaning, wipe
the hob dry with a soft cloth.
• Remove shiny metallic discoloration:
use a solution of water with vinegar and
clean the glass surface with a cloth.
Application
The oven is off.
To bake on up to two shelf positions at the same time and to dry
food.
Set the temperature 20 - 40 °C lower than for Conventional Cook‐
ing.
To bake food on one shelf position for a more intensive browning
and a crispy bottom.
To bake and roast food on one shelf position.
To add humidity during the cooking. To get the right colour and
crispy crust during baking. To give more juiciness during reheat‐
ing.
To grill flat food in large quantities and to toast bread.
To roast larger meat joints or poultry with bones on one shelf po‐
sition. Also to make gratins and to brown.
