Fitting a wheel
• Push the wheel onto the wheel
studs. Screw on the wheel nuts
and secure in a clockwise direc-
tion ensuring that the tapered
end of the wheel nuts are facing
the wheel.
• Lower the vehicle and remove the
jack.
• Fully tighten the wheel nuts in a
diagonal pattern.
• In the case of steel wheels with
full size hubcaps or alloy wheels
with centre caps, press on the
hubcap/centre cap firmly with
the ball of the hand.
• In the case of mini hubcaps, the
cap should be twisted clockwise
until it locks. If there is accumu-
lated brake dust, dirt, etc, it may
be difficult to twist the cap and it
is recommended that one wheel
nut be loosened, the cap fitted
and the nut fully re-tightened.
• Stow the jack and defective wheel
and secure them.
Have the tightening torque of the
wheel nuts and the tyre pressure
checked as soon as possible.
Tightening torque of wheel nuts:
86-90 Nm.
