SUPPLEMENTARY RESTRAINT
SYSTEM
Air bag (If equipped)
An air bag, in combination with a
seat belt, can help reduce the risk
of severe injuries in the event of a
significant collision.
Function
The air bag system activates during
major collisions which are either
frontal or when the impact angle
is up to 30 degrees from the left or
the right. The air bag inflates within
a few thousandths of a second
during a crash. As the front seat
occupant's body contacts the air
bag, it will deflate cushioning their
forward movement.
NOTE: Passenger air bag fitted
where specified.
