Packaging
Tagging for Service If the instrument is being returned to Keysight for service, attach a tag indicating the
type of service required, return address, and model number.
Original Packaging Containers and materials identical to those used in factory packaging are available
through Keysight offices. Mark the container FRAGILE to ensure careful handling.
Other Packaging The following general instructions should be used for re-packing with commercially
available materials:
1. Wrap the instrument in heavy paper or plastic (If shipping to a Keysight office or service center, attach a
tag as explained previously).
2. Use a strong shipping container.
3. Use a thick layer of shock absorbing material 70 to 100 mm (3 to 4 inches) thick around all sides of the
instrument to provide firm cushioning and prevent movement inside the container.
4. Seal the shipping container securely.
5. Mark the shipping container FRAGILE to ensure careful handling.
6. In any correspondence, refer to the instrument by model number and full serial number.
