9.2.3 ALARMS (SMARTBAKE™)
An Alarm can be set on both the measured Temperature value and the measured RH value in the SmartBAKE™
Mode. These Alarms are independent of the alarms that can be set in the SmartDRY™ mode. Both the Temper-
ature and RH alarms are an "over limit" type, meaning, the alarm will sound when the measured value rises
above the set Alarm value. A delay time can also be set for both the Temperature and RH alarms. This means
the alarm will NOT sound until the alarm condition has been met for at least the programmed delay time.
THE DELAY TIMER FOR THE RH ALARM WILL COUNT DOWN, NOT RESET, WHEN THE MEASURED VALUE
FALLS BELOW THE ALARM VALUE AND BEFORE THE DELAY TIME IS REACHED. THIS COUNT DOWN IS
IN1/10TH TIME, IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS DESCRIBED IN J-STD-033, "SHORT DURATION EXPOSURE"
FOR THE WORST THE CASE MSL COMPONENT "FLOOR LIFE CLOCK RESET." THUS, IF THE INTERIOR RH
VALUE OF THE CABINET RISES ABOVE THE ALARM VALUE (SAY, BECAUSE THE DOOR IS OPEN) FOR 25 SEC-
ONDS, ONCE THE DOOR IS CLOSED AND THE RH RETURNS TO BELOW THE ALARM VALUE, THE DELAY
TIMER WILL TAKE 250 SECONDS TO COUNT BACK TO 0.
THE DELAY TIMER FOR THE TEMPERATURE ALARM WILL COUNT DOWN AT A 1 TO 1 RATE WHEN THE
MEASURED VALUE FALLS BELOW THE ALARM VALUE AND BEFORE THE DELAY TIME IS REACHED.
To access the Alarms Menu:
1) From the Main Display, enter the Main menu by pressing the Menu button. Enter the SmartBAKE™
Menu by pressing the Bake button.
2) Select the J-STD or Manual button.
