MOUNTING INSTRUCTION

Please read mounting instruction carefully and follow
mounting drawings.
Mounting position of the door closer ( standard fixing on
door leaf, hinge side) can be seen from the instruction.

If there are no pre-drilled bore holes at the door, use
drilling template, mark drill holes, drill pilot hole of
core diameter Ø 4,2 mm and tap thread (M 5).
Screw on the mounting plate with M5x16 screws
enclosed.

Fix the door closer with M5x10 screws enclosed to
the mounting plate.
Fix the main arm with M6x20 screw to the door closer
spindle

Screw on the slide channel with M5x30.

Close valve no.1 of the door closer, open the door,
move the main arm towards the slide channel and
connect the main arm with the sliding unit.

Adjust closing speed in the area from 180° to 15° by
valve no. 1- according to standard EN 1154 closing
time from 90° door opening angle should be between
3 and 7 seconds.

Adjust closing speed in the area from 15° to 0° by
valve no. 2 in such a way that hand or fingers are not
squeezed between the door frame and door leaf.

Clip on door closer end caps and cover

If required, the slide channel can be readjusted
thanks to oblong holes in the fixing pads.
Clip on slide channel cover.

Set a door stop at 180°.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

The closing action should be in line with EN 1154 in
order to avoid hazard and to safeguard the door (see
positions 5 and 6 Mounting instruction).
The cover has to be installed at any time in order to
prevent mishandling of the valves.
Make sure that the closing cycle is not affected by
friction ( e.g. rubbing of the door leaf on the floor) or
obstacles.
Do not tamper with the door closer or with the arm
assembly.

MAINTENANCE

Door closers should be regularly controlled each
month, a thorough inspection should be effected
each 6 months.
Check fixing screws to ensure they are tight and
secure.
Check closing speed and end latch according to
requirements of EN 1154 (see positions 5 and 6
Mounting instruction).
Check that there are no oil leakages
Check for ease of door operation
Keep the door closer clean
Replace the door closer if the closer is not
performing as required
Please keep this instruction for a correct
maintenance of the door and all component.
