If the dishwasher is running out of salt, check the section "Adding Salt
to the Softener" in Chapter 3 of Part One: Generic Version.
REMARK:
If your model does not have a water softener, you can skip this part.
Water softening
Water hardness varies from place to place. If you use hard water with your washing
machine, deposits form on dishes and cutlery.
The device is equipped with a special softener that uses a salt tank specially designed to
eliminate scale and minerals from the water.
Preparing and putting dishes in the washing machine
Buy dishes and accessories marked as dishwasher safe.
For special items, choose a program with the lowest possible temperature. To
prevent damage, do not remove glasses and cutlery from the dishwasher
immediately after the program has finished.
Washing the following dishes/cutlery
Not dishwasher safe:
Cutlery with handles made of wood, horn, porcelain or mother-of-
pearl Plastic items not resistant to heat
Older glued cutlery that is not heat resistant Related
cutlery and crockery
Tin or copper dishes Crystal
glass
Steel items subject to rust
Wooden trays
Articles made of synthetic fibers
It is partially suitable:
Certain types of glass may lose their luster after many washes
Silver and aluminum parts tend to fade during washing Glazed
patterns may fade due to frequent washing
