Charging of battery when boat not in water

When the boat is out of the water, charge the high-voltage lithium-ion batteries using low current (maximum 10 A). The
on-board charger is cooled using seawater. With no seawater available, there is a risk of overheating if higher current is
used.

Service, repair, and disposal of high-voltage battery

WARNING
• The voltage in the high-voltage network and the high-voltage batteries is life-threatening. The system can be
active even if the ignition is switched off.
• Do not touch damaged high-voltage components or high-voltage cables. High-voltage components are labeled
with yellow safety labels. All high-voltage cables are orange.
In case of damage to a high-voltage lithium-ion battery, contact our Technical Support immediately. The battery has a
built-in control system that detects critical errors. If a critical error is detected the control system will, after a defined
delay, prevent the battery from delivering power.
In the event of damage or disposal of the battery, you are obliged to return the battery to X Shore or to contract a
qualified specialist company to dismantle, recycle and dispose of the battery. Only qualified and trained persons are
allowed to work on a high-voltage system and systems which are directly or indirectly influenced by it. See Safe handling
of high-voltage battery system, page 56.
Special regulations apply to damaged lithium-ion batteries. For further information please contact our Technical Support.
For detailed information please contact a hazardous goods safety adviser.
