Check fluids
1.
Check the level of hydraulic oil in the steering system.
2. Check the level of coolant in the battery cooling system. See Check coolant for high-voltage batteries, page 68.
3. Check the level of coolant in the cooling system for the electric high voltage components. See Check coolant for
drivetrain, page 69.

Start up and check the seawater pump after launch

The seawater pump must be running before you head out to sea.
1.
Turn on power to the seawater pumps:
a. On the touchscreen, go to the X Shore panel, tab Motor and Pumps.
b. Press the Seawater Pumps toggle switch.
The seawater pump should start up.
2. Prime the seawater pump system. Priming is completed when water flushes out from the rear starboard water outlet.
a. Open the aft service hatch
b. Place the seawater filter tool on top of the lid of the seawater filter. Loosen the lid by turning it anti-clockwise
and carefully let the air out of the filter.
c. Tighten the lid of the seawater filter.
d. Close the aft service hatch.
3. Stop the pumps to restore the automatic cooling systems.
a. On the touchscreen, go to the X Shore panel, tab Motor and Pumps.
b. Press the Seawater Pumps toggle switch.
The seawater pump should turn off.

Check coolant for high-voltage batteries

The cooling system for the high-voltage batteries contains the fluid Shell Thermal Fluid E5 TM 410. There is in total 40 kg
of fluid in the system.
WARNING
Do not add any other liquid to the system. All other liquids may cause severe damage and even fire.
