Description
The analyzer is a handheld point of care device that receives
a cartridge and performs a test on a sample. It is intended for
use in medical care settings, for example, operating theaters.
A test or group of tests running on the system.
The cartridge, constructed primarily from plastic components,
has no moving parts or embedded electronics. The sample
must be added to the cartridge after the cartridge has been
inserted into the analyzer. The cartridge is disposable and
can only be used once. Different cartridges are available to
perform specific tests.
The analyzer can be docked in the docking station to charge
the battery and to transfer anonymized service-related data
to the service software. The docking station supports multiple
analyzers.
Magnotech is a biosensor technology that uses magnetic
nanoparticles to measure picomolar concentrations of target
substances in the sample.
Software that enables communication between the analyzer(s)
and the hospital information system as well as monitoring of
analyzer performance.
The fluid portion of the blood in which cells are suspended
The analyzer starts and performs a self test to ensure correct
operation. An error message will appear on the screen if the
self- test detects that the analyzer is not functioning properly.
