6.10.1

Convolutional decoding

The convolutional decoder is using the Viterbi decoding scheme.
The code definition is given in [AD6], extract below :
Note: Punctured code is not supported.
6.10.2

Reed Solomon decoding

The RTR decoder support RS(255,223) as per CCSDS recommendation [AD6].
Features supported:
ASM synchronization
Data randomization removal
Interleaving. Depth = 1 to 8.
Virtual Filling
Concatenated decoding
For more details, refer to [AD6].
A second RS decoder is available: RS(255,239) with a specific definition for Soyuz application.
For more detail, contact Safran Data Systems.
The combination of both Convolutional and Reed Solomon decoders is available.
