SATA Ports
Six SATA 3.0 ports are located on the X12STL-F motherboard supported by the Intel C252
chipset. These SATA ports support RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10. SATA ports provide serial-link signal
connections, which are faster than legacy Parallel ATA.
M.2 Slot
The X12STL-F motherboard has one M.2 slots. M.2 was formerly known as Next Generation
Form Factor (NGFF) and serves to replace mini PCIe. M.2 allows for a variety of card sizes,
increased functionality, and spatial efficiency. The M.2 slot on this motherboard supports PCIe
3.0 x4 in the 2280 and 22110 form factors.
