4.6 Storage Ports

I-SATA Ports
Eight SATA 3.0 ports (I-SATA0 - I-SATA7) are located on the motherboard, which are supported
by the Intel® C621A chipset. These SATA ports support RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10. SATA ports
provide serial-link signal connections, which are faster than the connections of Parallel ATA.
Disk-On-Module Power Connector
The Disk-On-Module (DOM) power connectors at JSD1 and JSD2 provide 5V power to a
solid-state DOM storage devices connected to one of the SATA ports. Refer to the table
below for pin definitions.
PCIe 4.0 M.2 Sockets
The motherboard has four PCIe 4.0 M.2 sockets (M.2-C01 - M.2-C04). M.2 allows for a variety
of card sizes, increased functionality, and spatial efficiency. The M.2 slots on the motherboard
support PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 NVMe SSDs in the 2260, 2280, and 22110 form factors.
