OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
6.1 SWITCH ON/OFF MACHINE (MODE OF OPERATIONS)

ACTIVITY/DESCRIPTION
a) Starting
Turn to position „1" and wait until the CPU of the
SPS is booted (waiting time max. 15 s).
Operate.
Select the desired mode on start screen.

– For normal operation „Automatic".
– For a single strapping „Cycle".
– For manual operation „Manual".
The follwing functions are displayed for all three modes
of operation:
(1) Screen jump to Infothek (Machine informations,
parametter settings e.g.)
(2) Machine moves to initial position.
(3) Strap tension display % (300-3000 N)
(4) Strapping counter
(5) If a fault appears, this button will turn red.
After elimination of fault, actuate button (Reset).
Automatic mode:
(6) Screen jump to carriage
(7) Screen jump to lifting unit
(8) Display / program change of the current strapping
program (only in auto and cycle mode).
(9) Screen jump to strapping head.
(10) With the arrow keys, the strap tension can be
adjusted (for all strappings except the top strap-
ping) displayed in % (300-3000 N).
(11) For free passage of the packaged goods without
attaching a strapping „with Strap".
(12) Strapping finished, release for conveyor.
Cycle mode:
– Actuate button „Strapping" now a complete strap-
ping operation (program) will be performed.
– Actuate button „Single" now one single strapping will
be performed.
The other functions are described in the section „Auto-
matic mode".
Manual mode:
Individual machine functions can be performed manu-
ally:
– „Reset" Fault acknowledge
– „Feed" Strap forward
– „Lifting unit upward / downward" Initial position
„up".
„Backward / Forward" Initial position „Backward"

matic mode".
b) Switching off
Operate. The control voltage is removed and all move-
ment components are switched off.
Turn to position „0", the machine is disconnected from
the mains.
