9.3.3 Adjusting the brake force on the ACROBAT LCH spring arm

Dismantling the cover panels
1. Unscrew the 2 countersunk Phillips screws M3 x 12 mm 2.
2. Gently disengage each cover panel 6 on the 2 staggered straps 5 using a suitable
slotted screwdriver.
3. Remove the 2 cover panels 6.
Adjusting the brakes

The brake screws 3 are designed as slotted screws:
• All other screws on the spring arm must not be loosened.
Tool to be used
Use a suitable slotted screwdriver.
To increase the brake force
• Insert the slotted screwdriver into the brake screw 4 and alternately turn with the
same number of revolutions in the clockwise (+) direction as illustrated in the Figure.
To reduce the brake force
• Insert the slotted screwdriver into the brake screw 4 and alternately turn with the
same number of revolutions in the anti-clockwise direction (–) as illustrated in the Fig-
ure.
Mounting the cover panels
4. Position the cover 6 with the internal guide 3 in such a way that the guide 3 pro-
trudes into the adjustment hole 1.
5. Gently push the cover panel 6 and fasten it to the spring arm using the countersunk
Phillips screw M3 x 12mm C.
6. Gently push the second cover 6 so that the 4 straps 5 snap into each other.
7. Screw the cover panel 6 to the spring arm tightly using the countersunk Phillips
screw M3 x 12 mm 2.
8. Check that the cover panels 6 are securely in place.
• The cover panels 6 must sit tightly on the spring arm without any gaps.
9. Perform a function test.
