9.1

General safety instructions

Electric shock hazard
Power supply cables are laid in the pendant system and the adaption 7 -
9. Contact with energised components presents a danger to life from
electric shock. Disconnect the pendant system from the mains before any
adjustment work:
• Disconnect all the poles of the pendant system from the mains and
prevent it from being switched back on again.
• Check whether the end device (e.g. flat screen, OR lamp, etc.) is de-
energised.
• Wait until the end device (e.g. flat screen, OR lamp, etc.) has cooled
down.
Performing adjustment work
Adjustment work may only be carried out by the operator.
9.2

Adjusting the spring tension

The spring arm 4 - 6 is equipped with a spring which compensates the weight of the
adaptation and the end device.
Adjust the spring tension so that the spring arm 4 - 6 with the adaption 7 - 9 and the
end device (e.g. flat screen, OR lamp, etc.) remains stable in any position.
If the spring arm 4 - 6 with the adaption 7 - 9 and the end device (e.g. flat screen,
OR lamp, etc.) does not remain in position after adjusting the spring tension, the spring
arm 4 - 6 must be replaced by a service technician.
Follow the safety instructions
Follow the general safety instructions prescribed in

9.2.1 Adjusting the spring tension on the ACROBAT2000 and NRH spring arm

(See "Figure 22")
Tool to be used
Use an Allen key (size 5).
Possible spring equipment on the ACROBAT 2000 spring arm
1.5 - 3.5kg; 3.5 - 7kg; 7 - 12kg; 9 - 15kg; 12 - 18kg; 13.5 - 21kg. The spring equipment
mounted is indicated on the rating plate on the top side of the spring arm 4.
Possible spring equipment on the ACROBAT 2000 NRH spring arm
95 - 160Nm; 95 - 176Nm: The spring equipment mounted is indicated on the rating plate
on the top side of the NRH spring arm 5.
1.
Slightly pull down the spring arm 4, 5 in order to relieve the adjustment screw in

the spring arm.
2.
Insert the Allen key into the adjustment hole 1.
If the spring arm 4, 5 moves down, the spring tension is too low.
Turn the Allen key to the left (anti-clockwise) as illustrated in the Figure.
If the spring arm 4, 5 moves up, the spring tension is too high.
Turn the Allen key to the right (clockwise) as illustrated in the Figure.
3.
Perform a function test.
