SPIDAR SDK
Right-click on the connection you would like to use to communicate with the NIC-500 and
choose Properties
Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
Properties, then select the
option "Use the following IP address" (Figure 5-10). Assign the computer an IP address on the
same subnet as the NIC-500. By default, the NIC-500s IP address is 192.168.20.221 so using
an IP address of the form 192.168.20.X where X is any host ID (i.e., a number between 1 and
254) will allow you to communicate with the NIC-500. Note that you cannot set X to 221 as that
Host ID is already in use by the NIC-500. Set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0.
These steps assume that the NIC-500 is left with its default IP address. If the user wishes to add
SDK to an existing network, they can change the IP address following the steps outlined in
Section
5.3.1.

5.3 Changes in SDK mode
When the NIC-500 boots up into SDK mode, type in the NIC-500's IP address (usually
192.168.20.221) in a supported browser. You will see the screen in (Figure 5-11).
