4) Connect the waveguide flange and then fix with the bolt.
5) Wipe off the excess adhesive from the flange.
12. Hold the rear cover at the lower part (near
the intake), and the push it horizontally to-
wards the chassis until the gasket be-
tween the front and rear covers are about
5 mm wide. Then close the rear cover with
four bolts. The torque for the fixing bolts
must be 10.0 N•m.
Note 1: After pushing the rear cover by
hand, check that the gasket width is ap-
prox. 5 mm at three places (the top, mid-
dle, and bottom) of the gasket.
Note 2: For the de-icer, take care not to hit the heater elements on the chassis or
radiator when the front cover is being attached or detached.
• To fix the heater elements, close the open heater to return it to its original posi-
tion, then unfasten the fixing screws for the heater to adjust the position of the
heater.
• If it is necessary to open the front cover after installing the de-icer kit, remove
the de-icer power cable from the locking wire saddle as shown in the following
figure, then detach the cover slowly to prevent damage to the heater element.
