The DUNGS MB-DLE... gas valve unit is made up of:
• Minimum gas pressure switch (3)
• Gas filter (6)
• Pressure regulator (stabiliser) (2)
• Safety valve (incorporated in the pressure regulator) with quick
opening and closing (4).
• Main two position valve (1st flame and 2nd flame) - slow opening
with quick initial adjustable release and quick closing (8)
• The following is explained in order to proceed with the regulation.
• 1) The inlet filter (6) can be accessed for cleaning removing one of
the two side closing plates.
• The pressure stabiliser can be adjusted (see table) using the
screw which can be accessed sliding the cover (2) to one side. The
complete run from the maximum to the position and vice versa is
about 60 turns. Do not force against the end-of-the-run positions.
Before igniting the burner, make at least 15 turns towards the + sign.
Around the access opening there are arrows with symbols indicating
the rotation direction for pressure increase (clockwise) or decrease
(anti-clockwise).This stabilizer creates a hermetic closure between
the "upstream" and "downstream" sections when there is no flow.
Different springs to obtain different pressure value from those
described above are not foreseen. To adjust the pressure stabiliser,
connect a water gauge to the hose connection installed on the valve,
to the plug Pa (7) corresponding to the stabiliser outlet.
• Regulation is not foreseen for the quick opening and closing safety
valve (4).
• Main valve (8).
• Initial rapid release adjustment acts on first and second opening
position of the valve. The adjustment of rapid release and hydraulic
brake act on the first and second positions of the valve in proportion to
the flow rate adjustments. For the regulation, unscrew the protective
cover (11) and use the back part of it as a tool to turn the pin
Clockwise rotation=less rapid releaseAnti-clockwise rotation=more
rapid release
FIRST POSITION REGULATION (1ST FLAME)
• Loosen the screw with raised cylindrical head (1).
• Turn the second flame flow rate regulation knob (10) at least 1 turn
in the direction indicated by the arrow with the + sign (anticlockwise).
CAUTION / WARNINGS
If the 2nd flame regulation knob is not turned at least one turn
towards the +, the valve will not open for the first position.
• Turn the first position regulation ring (9) in the direction indicated by
the arrow with the + sign (anticlockwise).
• Turn it a bit more than two turns in relation to the end-of-stroke.
• Then, with only the first flame ignited, turn the ring (9) enough to
obtain the desired gas output for the first flame.
• Please note that the complete flow rate regulator turning range, from
- to + and vice versa, is approx. three and a half turns.
• The regulator clockwise rotation leads to an output decrease, anti-
clockwise rotation to its increase.
SECOND POSITION REGULATION (2ND FLAME)
• Loosen the screw with raised cylindrical head (1).
• Turn the knob (10) in the direction indicated by the arrow with the
+ sign (anticlockwise) as far as considered necessary to obtain
desired gas output for the second flame.
• Please note that the complete regulator turning range, from + to -
and vice versa, is approximately FIVE turns.
• The regulator clockwise rotation leads to an output decrease, anti-
clockwise rotation to its increase.
• After regulating the gas output for the first and second flame,
remember to tighten the screw (1) to prevent it moving from the
desired position.
