SCBA Donning Procedure

(1) Slide the right arm through the right shoulder strap.
(2) Slide the left arm through the left shoulder strap.
a) Check correct orientation of shoulder straps.
(3) Bend forward slightly; resting the carrier on the back.
(4) Fasten the waist belt and pull forward on the waist strap
pull tabs to tighten for a snug fit.
a) Most of the SCBA weight should be carried on the
hips.
