Installing Battery

Insert one "AAA/ UM4" battery to the remote control prior to use. Make sure to match their polarities (+/-) to the markings inside the compartment.


Before throwing any batteries away, consult your distributor who may be able to take them back for specific recycling.

NOTES:

  • Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them apart.
  • If the remote control is not going to be used for a long time, remove the battery to avoid damage caused by battery leakage corrosion.
  • Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
  • Do not throw batteries in fire!
  • Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.


Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

POWER SUPPLY

This set operates on AC 100-240V 50/60Hz.

Connect the power cord to a convenient AC wall outlet.

In a concern of saving energy, when playback has reached to the end or listening volume is set at a very low level and no control is operated on the device for a period of 2 hours, the unit will automatically switch to Standby mode.

SELECTING FUNCTION

  1. Press STANDBY button to turn on the unit.
  2. The function is selected by pressing SOURCE button repeatedly, or pressing AUX / LINE , USB / BT or FM / OPT button on remote control respectively.

VOLUME
Press + / - to adjust the sound to comfortable level. The volume level will be displayed for a few seconds.

MUTE
To cut off the sound from the speakers temporarily, press MUTE button on remote control. "V00" appears on display for 2 seconds. Press MUTE button again to cancel Mute mode and restore the sound from the speakers.

USB OPERATION

  1. Press button to turn on the unit.
  2. Connect an USB device to the USB port on unit.
  3. Press SOURCE or USB / BT button to select USB mode. Playback starts automatically.

Notes:

  • Do not put anything other than a USB device to the port of this unit. Other objects may damage the USB mechanism.
  • The USB socket must not be connected to the computer directly, for that may damage the unit.
  • There are many USB devices in the market. We cannot guarantee to support all different models. Please try another USB device if your device is not supported.

RADIO

Listening to the radio

  1. Pressbutton to turn on the unit.
  2. Press SOURCE or FM / OPT button to select FM Radio mode. "tune" appears on display for 2 seconds.
  3. Press to switch to tuning mode and preset mode:
  • In tuning mode, the radio frequency will be displayed ( The frequency will be displayed in a special way, e.g. "87.5" will be displayed as "875") Tune to a desired station with .
  • In preset mode, the preset channel nr will be displayed (e.g. CH01).

Presetting radio station
The unit can store up to 30 FM stations in its memory.

Manual preset

  1. In tuning mode, tune to a desired station.
  2. Press MEMORY button on remote control. "CH01" flashes on display.
  3. Press on remote control to select a desired preset location. Press MEMORY again to save the radio station as the selected preset station.
  4. Repeat above steps to preset a maximum of 30 stations.

Auto preset
Long press MEMORY on remote control to start automatic preset programming. Radio frequencies will be browsed and radio stations stored automatically. When all the available radio stations are stored or all memory locations are full, the auto preset programming function will stop.

Retrieving the preset stations
In preset mode, press on remote control to access a preset station.

Note:
For a better reception in FM, extend the antenna.

  1. Press SOURCE or USB / BT button to select Bluetooth mode. " " blinks on display indicating it's in pairing mode.
  2. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select "M-1600 SBT" from the Device List. (Refer to the user manual of the device to be connected for detailed operations.) If the Bluetooth device prompts for a passcode, use"0000". Some Bluetooth devices will ask you to accept the connection. "" stops blinking and remains ON when pairing is successful.
  3. When pairing is successful, you can control music player of your Bluetooth device by pressing +/-, ,, , MUTE button on the unit.
  4. Turn off the Bluetooth function of your Bluetooth device to do disconnection.

Tip: If you want to connect your Bluetooth speaker to another Bluetooth audio device, you need to disconnect current device first and follow the steps above to make a new connection.

  • On some devices such as computers, once paired you must select the unit from the Bluetooth menu and choose "Use as Audio Device (stereo)" or similar.
  • Pairing remains intact when the unit and/or your Bluetooth device is taken out of communication range. An active connection will be re-established when your Bluetooth device returns within range.
  • When the unit is turned on again, it will automatically try to reconnect with the most recently paired Bluetooth device.

CONNECTING WITH EXTERNAL DEVICES

To AUX IN RCA jacks

Connect your audio source (e.g. DVD player) to the AUX IN L/R jacks on unit with the supplied RCA audio cable.

To 3.5mm LINE IN jack

Connect your audio source (e.g. mp3 player) to the LINE IN jack on unit (cable not included).

To OPTICAL IN jack (SP-3771)

Connect your audio source to the OPTICAL IN jack on unit with a digital optical audio cable (cable not included).

  1. Press SOURCE repeatedly to select desired mode: AUX IN, LINE IN, OPTICAL.
    In AUX IN mode, the display will show "A_IN".
    In LINE IN mode, the display will show " LINE".
    In OPTICAL mode, the display will show "OPT".
  2. Start playback from your audio source.
  3. Adjust the volume to desired level.
  4. To stop playback, disconnect your audio source from this unit.
