ADJUSTING THE BEVEL ANGLE

1.
Turn the saw upside-down.
2.
Move the bevel lock lever (Fig. 2-1)
into the unlocked position.
3.
Push the shoe (E) forward to
disengage the gears.
4.
Adjust the shoe to the desired angle.
5.
Push the shoe backwards to engage
the gears.
6.
Move the bevel lock lever into the locked position.

SETTING THE CUTTING ACTION

Use the orbital-action dial (D) to set one of the following cutting actions:
Straight. Set the dial to 0. The blade travels in a vertical motion (up and
down) only.
Orbital. Set the dial to 1, 2 or 3. The blade travels in an orbital
motion (up and down; forward and backward). Higher settings indicate
a larger orbital motion.

OPERATION

WARNING! To reduce the risk of serious injury, ensure the following
precautions are followed before operation: the guard is in place and in proper
working order; the bevel lock lever and fence lock knob are tightened.
1.
Hold the jig saw firmly with one hand. Position the blade near the work
piece. Press the laser guide button (K) to turn the laser guide on.
2.
Push in and hold the trigger lock (B), then press the trigger (A).

Apply more pressure on the trigger to increase the speed.
b.
Apply less pressure to decrease.
3.
Allow the blade to reach full speed before contacting the workpiece.
4.
Press the shoe against the workpiece. Guide the saw blade through the
cutline in a smooth and steady motion.
5.
After completing the cut, release the trigger. Press the laser guide
button again to turn the laser guide off.
