Wear a NIOSH approved respirator when working on materials that produce hazardous fumes, dust or particulate matter. PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS Control the tool, personal movement and the work environment to avoid personal injury or damage to tool.

Hardened gum and wood pitch on a drill bit slows the drill press down and increases the potential for binding. Remove the drill bit from the drill press, then clean it with hot water, kerosene or gum and pitch remover.

    9027814 MINI BENCH-TOP DRILL PRESS V1.0 Make certain the power source conforms to requirements of your equipment (see Specifications). This tool is only for use on 120 V (single phase) and is equipped with a three-prong grounded power supply cord and plug. Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded.

Do not wrap the cord around the tool, as sharp edges may cut insulation or cause cracks if wound too tight. Gently coil cord and either hang on a hook or fasten with a device to keep cord together during storage.
  • Page 10 9027814 MINI BENCH-TOP DRILL PRESS V1.0 ASSEMBLY Place the base on a stable, level surface. Mount the column onto the base. Align the hole in the column support with the hole in the base. Screw the M8x8 bolt into the base until it secures the column.

    V1.0 MINI BENCH-TOP DRILL PRESS 9027814 Choose the pulley spindle that allows you to move the elastic belt to a smaller pulley. Rotate the chosen pulley spindle by hand. Place a finger on the belt section that is moving towards the pulley and pull upwards or push downwards until the belt derails.

If the drill bit grabs and spins the workpiece, do not attempt to stop the spinning with your hands, as it can cause an impact injury. Step back and turn the drill press off. Wait for the spindle to stop turning before dislodging the workpiece.
