Windows shared printers cannot be monitored
Cause
The setting of the EPSON
Status Monitor 3 may be
incorrect. Monitoring of
shared printers is set
internally by the EPSON
Status Monitor 3 utility.
In Windows Me, 98, and 95,
IPX/SPX compatible
protocols may be set on the
network module.
What to do
To monitor Windows shared
printers, right-click Network
Neighborhood and then click
Properties. Confirm that File and
printer sharing for Microsoft
Networks is shown in the list of
installed components.
And also, confirm that EPSON Status
Monitor 3 is installed in the computer
or server that is connected to the
shared printer, and make sure that
the Allow monitoring of shared
printers check box is selected in the
Monitoring Preferences dialog box.
Disable the IPX/SPX compatible
protocols on the network module.
