Status and control signals
Mode Hop Detect
Mode Hop Detect is a digital output signal that indicates a mode hop. TRUE = 0 V,
FALSE = +5 V and the duration of this signal is > 100µs. The signal delay from a
mode hop until the signal becomes TRUE is less than 10 ms. This enables the de-
termination of the position of the modehop with an accuracy better than 1 nm.
Mode Hop Enable
The digital control signal, mode_hop_enabla enables the use of of the Mode Hop
Adjust signal. When this signal is FALSE PICO D runs with factory settings on the
Mode Hop Adjust.
Mode Hop Adjust
The analog control signal MODE_HOP_ADJUST is used for fine-tuning the laser
wavelength using Piezo element. The valid signal range is ±10 V.
