Loading Envelopes

Envelopes can be loaded in the Bypass Tray or Tray 1.
 If the envelopes are not loaded right after they are unpacked, they may curl. To avoid jams, press the
envelopes firmly to flatten them before loading, as shown in the illustration.
 If the envelopes do not feed correctly, curl the envelope edges as shown in the illustration. For curl width,
0.08 to 0.12" (2 to 3 mm) is recommended. Curl an area extending 0.32 to 0.39" (8 to 10 mm) from the
edge of the envelopes. Take care not to curl excessively or to cause wrinkles.
