HOW TO USE THE MANUAL MODE
1. Begin pedaling or press any button on the
console to turn on the console.
See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on
page 16.
2. Select the main menu.
Each time you turn on the power, the main menu
will be selected automatically.
If you have selected a workout or the iFit mode,
press the Home button to return to the main menu.
3. Select the manual mode.
From the main menu in the display, select
Workouts, and then select Manual.
You can also press the Manual button on the con-
sole to select the manual mode.
4. Change the incline (resistance) of the training
bike as desired.
As you pedal, change the incline (resistance) of
the training bike by pressing the Incline increase
and decrease buttons.
Note: After you press a button, it will take a
moment for the training bike to reach the selected
incline level.
CAUTION: The training bike can move to a
broad range of incline levels. Hold the handle-
bars and be prepared for the training bike to
move when you change the incline.
5. Change gears as desired.
To maintain a steady pedaling cadence, change
gears by pressing the Gears increase and
decrease buttons.
Note: After you press a button, it will take a
moment for the training bike to change to the
selected gear.
6. Follow your progress with the display.
The display can show the following workout
information:
Calories (Cals)——This display mode will show the
approximate number of calories you have burned.
Distance——This display mode will show the dis-
tance that you have pedaled in miles or kilometers.
To change the unit of measurement, see step 6 on
page 22.
Gear——This display mode will show the number of
the currently selected gear.
Incline——This display mode will show the incline
level of the training bike.
Map——When an all terrain workout is selected, this
display mode will show a map of the trail and a
marker indicating your progress.
Pro le——When an onboard workout is selected,
this display mode will show a pro le of the incline
settings for the workout.
RPM——This display mode will show your pedaling
cadence in revolutions per minute (rpm).
Speed (Spd)——This display mode will show your
pedaling cadence in miles per hour or kilometers
per hour. To change the unit of measurement, see
step 6 on page 22.
