Take a moment and watch the video that shows all the features of the tablet. To do this, open the LINK IT app and tap on ‘INFO’. Make sure your volume is turned up and tap on App-101.

3. The front seat rear cross member will have to be removed to be cut and modified. This entails removing the doorsill, b-pillar plastic trims, and seat belt on the two sides and raising the rear of the center console. LINK RIGHT 2011-2015 FORD EXPLORER FRONT RIGHT p. 4...

4. Once the center console is lifted, the cross member can then be removed and cut in the middle and then the left-hand side seat cross member can be reinstalled. LINK RIGHT 2011-2015 FORD EXPLORER FRONT RIGHT p. 6...

5. The LINK floor adapters can now be installed. First install the two front floor shims # LK-EXL11R-06 interior and # LK-EXL11R-07 exterior, then install the exterior floor adapter # LK-EXL11R-01 using the two M10X1.5X40mm bolts at the front and two M10x1.5x40mm bolts at the back. The seat belt cannon will also be reinstalled at this point using the OEM bolt.

Now tighten down the bolts on the exterior floor adapter. 7. Run the power from the battery to the LINK. To do this, thread the red power cable (+) under the doorstep moulding and through the firewall. Make sure you pass through a grommet in the firewall to prevent the cable from chaffing.

8. The b pillar shroud can now be modified with the provided stencils to allow the LINK to pass and then reinstalled. Then the seat belt can be reinstalled, and also the provided plastic covers. 9. Remove the LINK from the shipping box and set it on a table or workbench. Connect auxiliary 12V power to the LINK.

(8) bolt holes. 11. Place the LINK in the vehicle on the floor adapter. Use the four (4) 3/8’’-16 x 1¼’’ socket cap bolts to secure the LINK by the pivot, and use the four (4) 3/8’’-16 x 7/8’’ to secure the interior of the LINK. Be careful not to pinch the LINK wire harness between the LINK and the floor adapter.

Note: the wiring when reinstalled will run out of the bottom right hand corner of the seat and go back under the LINK to be reconnected to the floor connector with enough loose to be able to follow the seat in and out.

Reinstall the manual lumbar control onto the LINK seat adapter using the provided self tapping screws. 24. Reinstall the metal seat pan using the six, self tapping screws provided. 25. Install the seat trim support onto the seat adapter. 26. Reinstall the seat cushion supports.

27. Connect the previously installed 12v power supply to the LINK, and using the ‘BYPASS’ mode on your ADAPT SOLUTIONS tablet carefully ‘pivot’ ‘travel’ and ‘tilt’ the LINK out of the vehicle to install the seat. MODELS WITH SEAT COOLING Follow steps 28 to 35 28.

32. The seat cushion will have to be modified before re-installation. The first modification is to allow clearance for the modified fan. The second is to the fabric flap to allow clearance under the LINK. For the fan modification, measure five inches towards the back of the seat to find the center and then mark a square four x four inches.

37. Reinstall the seat occupant sensor pad and module. To facilitate the installation of the sensor, use the tablet in ‘BYPASS’ mode ‘tilt’ to tilt the LINK up. Locate the module at the side of the seat adapter and attach securely with zip ties.

Attach the extended wiring temporarily at the back of the seat. Bring the LINK out to verify if you have enough wire to follow the LINK in and out. Attach the wire at the back of the seat and at the lower corner of the LINK. Roll up any excess wiring on the floor under the LINK.

If the LINK is slightly off its ‘HOME’ position or the starting point of its movements, there is a strong chance that the LINK will not fit through the doorway properly and/or will cause problems with the preset of the LINK.

Bluetooth module and plug in the hand pendant. Make sure the LINK hand pendant is working properly. Cycle the LINK in and out a few times, both with and without a passenger to make sure all shrouds are properly installed and that nothing is rubbing or requires adjustment. Make a visual inspection while the LINK is in movement that all the wiring follows the seat and does not risk being severed at any time.
