Checking the Dose Rate
G. Check measurement of the B signal
Remove the cover from
VIDEOMED DI M.
Connect the oscilloscope:
VIDEOMED DI M, measurement
point D1, X401, 0V/Ground at X406.
Place 2.1 mm Cu filter on the
collimator.
Switch the system ON and select the
full field of view I.I. format.
Select the anti-isowatt curve
(automatic 1).
Switch on fluoroscopy.
Measure the B signal of one line in
the center of the image
(60 Hz N line 128, 50 Hz N line 156)
for all I.I. formats (refer to Fig. 2) and
record the results.
The B-signal on VIDEOMED DI M
must be 300 mV, ± 20 mV.

If the values are within tolerance,
enter them in the Table 5.3.2
"Checked during Start-up".

Then enter the values for fluoroscopy
dose rate from Table 4.1.1 (checked
in the factory) in the Table 4.1.2
(Checked during Start-up).

Use the values from Table 4.1.2 for the Acceptance Test Protocol according to X-Ray
Ordinance § 16 (F.R. of Germany only).
If there are significant deviations, the B signal setting must be readjusted according to the
VIDEOMED DI Service Instructions, RX52-022.061.01...

Switch the system OFF and reattach the cover to the VIDEOMED DI M.

If the dose rate / iris diaphragm is readjusted during subsequent
operation, the new values must be entered in Table 5.3.3 along
with the date and the name of the technician.
The setting for the dose rate must be performed using the service
PC. The adjustment menus required are described in the Start-Up
Instructions, "System Configuration with the Service-PC",
RX63-020.034.08... In addition, steps that must be performed are
described in the VIDEOMED DI Service Instructions,
RX52-022.061.01...
