With your PC turned off, turn on the printer (the power switch is on the
right side of the printer), and then turn on your PC. A
Hardware message appears. Follow the directions for your
operating system:
Windows XP
Insert the Software
Utilities CD-ROM.
Select Install from
a list, or specify the
location. Then select
Next.
Select Include
this Location
the search. Then select
Browse
Locate the driver
directory on the
CD-ROM, and then
choose OK

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation of the
printer driver. When the installation is complete, the Windows desktop
appears.

During software installation you can view online help by
choosing the Help button.

Remove the CD-ROM from the PC, and store it in a safe place.

Connect your printer to your PC with a parallel cable.

Insert the Software Utilities CD-ROM.
The Register Online screen appears with the main menu screen's license
agreement.

Choose Accept or Decline. Click on Next.

click OK.
When the Locate
File window appears,
click on Browse.
Select the CD-ROM
drive to pull the driver.
Select the Windows
2000 platform, then
click on the 2000
driver.
Click on your language
preference. Once this
folder is opened, select
the MQ3100.PPD file
and select Open.
