Operating the Scale

After connecting your scale to AC power via the AC adapter, the
scale will need to warm up for at least 30 minutes.
The following special Status messages are indicated in the weight
display for your Information:
BUSY
The processor is still busy processing a function and will not accept
another command to perform any other functions at this time.
STANDBY
The display has been turned off using the ON/OFF key (3). When the
display is turned back on, the scale is immediately ready for Operation
and does not require warmup.
POWER OFF
The scale was disconnected from AC power (i.e., power failure or
outage; you disconnected, then reconnected the scale to AC power).
CAL
The calibration function has been activated.

Turning the Display On and Off

Press the ON/OFF key (3) to turn the display on and off. You can also
use the tare control (6) to turn on the display.
When the scale is connected to AC power, the weight display will go
out whenever you turn off the power using the ON/OFF key. All other
circuits remain energized (indicated by STANDBY). This means the
scale is immediately ready to operate without requiring warmup the
next time you turn it on.

Self-Test

After the power has been turned on, a test of the electronic circuitry
will be run automatically.
This self-test ends with the following readout:
