5. FAULT DIAGNOSIS

5.1

SYMPTOM / POSSIBLE CAUSE / REMEDY

IMPORTANT - Only fully trained and qualified hydraulic technicians should service the pump or system components.
Please contact Enerpac or Stanley Engineered Fastening for your servicing, repair and training requirements. Service
Instructions and repair parts sheet are available on request.
SYMPTOM
Pump/Motor will not
start
Trigger Button does
not function
Motor running but
placing tool does not
function
Motor stops under load
Solenoid valve will not
operate
* Note: This is not applicable to pump models 76506-02000 and 76507-02000.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
*Fault condition
Incorrect power supply
Trigger control cable not
connected correctly
Damaged trigger switch
*Pump in local mode
Trigger, control cable or connector
damaged
Hydraulic Hoses not connected
Faulty hydraulic quick couplers
Low oil level
External system leak
Internal leak in pump
Internal leak in valve
Internal leak in system component
Low voltage
No power or wrong voltage
Solenoid cable disconnected or
damaged
Valve out of adjustment
REMEDY

Check power supply against
specification
Check control cable is correctly
connected at pump and placing
tool
