Operating the Pen Computer
" NOTE:
Because these cards require a comparatively large amount of current,
the AC adapter/recharger should be used to supply power to the system
when they are installed in the pen computer.

SRAM Memory Card

This is a static RAM memory device that can be formatted as a
floppy disk; a write--protect switch is located on the edge of the
card. Even when an SRAM memory card is removed from the
pen computer 's PC card slot, the card's built--in battery protects
the data in the card.

Flash Memory Card

This is a solid state storage device that works in the same
manner as a floppy disk; a write--protect switch is located
on the edge of the card. Even when a flash memory card is
removed from the pen computer 's PC card slot, it does not
require an external power supply in order to retain its in-
ternal data.
