Closing the Discharge Gate
Push down on the front of the foot pedal to close
the gate.

Removing the Operator Controlled
Discharge Accessory
1.
Remove and retain the velcro straps that secure
the cable to the mower.
2.
Unhook the cable from the foot pedal.
3.
Remove the foot pedal assembly.
4.
Unlock the assembly and pivot it away from
the mower deck. Lift the Operator Controlled
Discharge accessory out of the deck mounting
tube.
5.
Lower the existing discharge deflector.
Important: Reinstall the original discharge
deflector if it was removed during the
installation.
Important: Always mow with the discharge
deflector installed and in the down position.
6.
The machine can now be used for side discharge
mowing.

After Operation

General Safety
• Park machine on level ground, disengage drives,
set parking brake, stop engine, remove key or
disconnect spark plug wire. Wait for all movement
to stop and allow the machine to cool before
adjusting, cleaning, repairing, or storing. Never
allow untrained personnel to service machine.
• Clean the machine as stated in the Maintenance
section.
• Frequently check for worn or deteriorating
components that could create a hazard. Tighten
loose hardware.
