Bypass
Sample streams may be temporarily skipped in the sequence by placing the sample point number
in Bypass. If the Sample Sequencer is currently on a sample point that has been placed in
Bypass, the Sample Sequencer will immediately skip to the next point in the sequence.
Occasionally, it is necessary to hold an analysis on one sample point. To accomplish this, simply
place all the undesired sample points in Bypass. Sample points are placed in either Sample or
Bypass by using the Bypass Screen.

Touch the indicator for the sample line to be switched. This will toggle the sample line between
Sample and Bypass. When a point that is placed in "Bypass" is next to be sequenced, the point
will be skipped and the next point that is in "Sample" will be sequenced. Press the save button
to save the changes made on this screen. To return to the previous screen without saving,
press the escape button.
5.2.8
Mode
The Sample Sequencer is capable of operating in two different modes, depending on the type of
analyzer being used. Continuous mode is for continuous output analyzers such as sodium,
conductivity, pH, O
, some colorimetric, and many other analyzers. Batch mode is for analyzers that

take a "bite" or batch of sample and then spend some time analyzing it before outputting a new
fixed analog signal. These typically include silica, phosphate, and other analyzers. (Consult
specific analyzer documentation to determine the type of analyzer.) The mode is changed from the
Mode Screen.
