• Use the master-slave operation function together with a Motion module. For details, refer to the Motion
module manual.
• When the master-slave operation function is used, "dynamic brake" is the stop method regarding alarms
and warnings whose stop methods are "electronic dynamic brake".
• When network communication shut-off or communication time-out has occurred, the servo amplifier stops
the servo motor with the dynamic brake.
• If [Pr. PD15.0] or [Pr. PD15.1] is set to "1" while [Pr. PA01.7 High-speed mode selection] is set to "1"
(enabled), [AL. 037 Parameter error] will occur. When using the master-slave operation function, set [Pr.
PA01.7] to "0" (disabled).
• If [Pr. PD15.0] or [Pr. PD15.1] is set to "1" while [Pr. PT01.2 Unit for position data] is set to "2" (degree), [AL.
037] will occur. When using the master-slave operation function, set [Pr. PT01.2] to a value other than "2".
• If [Pr. PD15.0] or [Pr. PD15.1] is set to "1" while [Pr. PA01.0 Control mode selection] is set to "6" (positioning
mode (point table method)), [AL. 037] will occur. When using the master-slave operation function, set [Pr.
PA01.0] to "0" (network standard mode).
Precautions
• When the function is used in a vertical axis system, set the same value to the parameters regarding the dynamic brake and
electromagnetic brake for both the master and slave axes to prevent the axes from dropping.
• The servo-on command of the master axis and slave axis must be turned on/off simultaneously. If the servo-on command is
turned on only for a slave axis, torque will not be generated. Therefore, an excessive load may be applied to the
electromagnetic brake of the master axis when using the function in a vertical axis system.
• When the gain switching function is used, the slave axis may not follow the master axis. Check the operation of the
machine before using the gain switching function.
• When not using the master-slave operation simultaneous stop function, set [Pr. PA04.3 Forced stop deceleration function
selection] to "0" (disabled). When the forced stop deceleration function of the master axis is enabled without using the
master-slave operation simultaneous stop function, the master axis stops the motor by forced stop deceleration, and the
slave axis stops the servo motor with the dynamic brake. Therefore, an excessive load may be applied to the dynamic
brake of the slave axis when the servo motor stops.
• If the 7-segment LED of an axis that enables driver communication keeps displaying "H" and the runtime does not appear,
check the conditions of other axes that enable driver communication. If the network is disconnected, reconnect the servo
amplifier and the controller. If an alarm has occurred, remove the cause of the alarm. If the network is not disconnected or
alarm has not occurred, driver communication may not be established due to noise or other reason. Turn on the power of
the servo amplifier and the controller again.
