4.7.3 Replacement of Burner Assembly 4.0KW – AK1839/ Electrode AK1841
- failure to light despite audible spark generator operation – cable damage, electrode wear
- weak spark and issue with flame sensing signal – cable, connection issue
- initial start-up of burner with subsequent closing of solenoid and flame extinguishing
! Close gas supply/ isolate 230V supply.
! Remove cover, blown air fan, PCBs, solenoid and fan motors.
- carefully prise off the wiring grommet and

take it off the electrode wire.
- unscrew the 4 T20 screws retaining the

burner assembly. O-ring will be observed
once assembly has been removed.

FINAL CHECKS: Full commissioning to include combustion analysis and gas soundness test

- pass the electrode connector through grommet hole.

- replace with new burner by reversing steps and hand

tightening the T20 screws.
and seated correctly in groove.
Electrode can be individually replaced, available as service kit AK1841,
though burner assembly must be removed from Heater to do so.
Simply remove the 2 screws highlighted and remove electrode.
Fit new electrode (it cannot be positioned incorrectly
due to position of the 2 screws) and replace the 2 screws.
