ABOUT THIS GUIDE
This guide consists of 2 parts.
Part 1 contains general instructions on assembly,
use, maintenance, and warranty.
Part 2 (p 73) contains illustrations, lists of parts,
and assembly drawings.
If there is an illustration that corresponds to a specific
instruction in the guide, you will be referred to it with
this pictogram of a pencil.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• This appliance is intended exclusively for personal use,
not for commercial use.
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and up and
people with physical, sensory or intellectual impairments or
a lack of experience and knowledge if they are supervised
or instructed on how to use the appliance safely and
understand the hazards involved. Children should not play
with the appliance. Children should not be tasked with
cleaning or maintaining the appliance.
• Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children
under the age of 8.
• Only plug the appliance into an socket as described
on the rating plate and only plug the appliance into
an earthed three-pin socket.
• Use only one appliance per socket and use only earthed
extension cords in a safe condition. The cross-sectional
area of the earthing wire should be at least 1.0 mm
(capacity of at least 10A).
• You are strongly advised to only use power that is supplied
via a residual current device (RCD), with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30mA, with household
appliances. Consult your electrician for more details.
• Only the designated power cord supplied
with the appliance should be used.
• The power cord should be regularly checked for damage.
If the power cord is damaged, the appliance should
not be used.
• The appliance should not be operated
(immediately disconnect the mains plug) if:
- the device, casing or power cord is damaged.
- the appliance shows visible signs of damage.
- a fault is suspected after the appliance was dropped
or a similar incident occurred.
• Switch off at the power point and disconnect
the mains plug:
- in the event of a fault during use.
- prior to cleaning or moving the appliance.
- after use.
• Please check the appliance and power cord regularly
and immediately cease using the appliance
by disconnecting the power cord from the power
if any problems arise when using the appliance.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, the Spare Parts Service or similar
professionals to minimize the risk.
• Never use this appliance within reach of water in a bath tub,
wash basin or another container. Never expose it to rain,
snow or other moisture.
• Store the power cord and cable so the chance of touching
or catching it is minimized.
• Never allow the extension cord or power cord to touch
the hot grill plate.
• Do not pull the power cord over sharp edges.
Ensure that the power cord does not get wedged
(e.g. under doors etc.).
• Do not place the barbecue over the edge or corner
of a table and avoid all contact with the hot surfaces
of the barbecue.
• Do not use this appliance without the oil drip tray and
ensure that the barbecue base is properly assembled.
• Never cover the hotplate with aluminum foil
(this damages the non-stick coating).
• Ensure that the appliance is assembled correctly
before use.
• Keep the electric grill at least 30cm from any walls
when in use.
• The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be
dangerously high when the appliance is in use. Take care
and keep flammable materials away from the appliance.
• Warning! The hotplate gets extremely hot and stays hot for
a long time after it has been switched off. Beware of burns!
Do not touch hot surfaces and be careful when handling
the appliance after use.
• Beware of fat, oil or liquid splattering while grilling.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is switched
on or still hot.
• Do not touch the appliance (lid or grill plate) when cooking
to avoid the risk of burns.
• Warning! Do not use charcoal or similar fuels
with this appliance.
• This appliance is solely intended for household use,
such as:
- staff kitchen areas in stores, offices
and other work environments;
- farms;
- by customers in hotels, motels or
other residential environments;
- bed and breakfast establishments.
• Only use this appliance as described in this guide. Using

the appliance in any other way than recommended by the
manufacturer may lead to fire, electric shock or injury to
persons, possibly resulting in death or permanent disability.
• This appliance may only be used for preparing food.
• Never disconnect the plug by pulling on the power cord
or with wet hands.
• For safety reasons, you may not use any tools that were
not recommended or supplied by the manufacturer.
• Always switch off the appliance before disconnecting
it from the mains.
• Allow the appliance to cool down fully before removing
attachments or cleaning the appliance.
• The power cord must be removed before cleaning
the appliance and the inlet of the appliance must be fully
dried before the appliance is used again.
• Never immerse the power cord plug or thermostat in water
or other liquids.
• Never immerse the appliance with the heating element
in water. The appliance should be switched off
when not in use.
• Only professional, trained staff should repair
