Pay attention to obstacles such as protruding stumps, roots, dents and holes in the ground, as they
can be the cause of an accident.
Cutting and pruning branches of trees and shrubs.
First it is checked on which side the branch is bent. Then make the initial cut on the side of the
bend, finishing it on the opposite side. Be careful that the cut branch does not bounce back.
You need to be especially careful when cutting a branch that is live. Such a branch may bounce and
strike the operator after it has been cut.
You should not cut branches while climbing a tree. You should not stand on ladders, platforms,
wood or other similar positions that could lead to loss of balance and control of the pole saw.
Safe work with the pole saw.
Under no circumstances should the castor be used when it is raining or damp. All parts must be
installed and meet the requirements ensuring proper operation of the pole saw. Any damaged
protective element or part must be replaced immediately.
9. Storage.
Make sure that the ventilation openings in the motor housing are clean.
A weak solvent and a sponge should be used to clean the plastic elements.
Only those maintenance operations that are described in this manual may be performed. All other
operations can only be performed by an authorized service center.
It is not allowed to make any changes in the design of the pole saw.
When the pole saw is not used, it should be stored after cleaning on a flat surface, in a dry place,
out of reach of children.
10. Guide bar and cutting chain.
Every 5 hours of operation, the condition of the busbar and the chain must be checked.
Loosen and unscrew the Guide bar nut.
Remove the cover and remove the rail and chain.
Clean the oil holes and the chute in the Guide bar.
Lubricate the front sprocket of the rail through the hole in the front of the rail. Check the condition of
the circuit).
Sharpening the pole saw chain.
Special attention should be paid to cutting tools. The cutting tools must be sharp and clean, which
ensures trouble-free and safe work. Working with a pole saw that has a worn chain leads to
accelerated wear of the chain, the Guide bar and the drive wheel of the chain, and can even lead to
a rupture of the chain. That is why it is very important to sharpen the chain in time.
Sharpening the chain is a complex operation. Self-sharpening of the chain requires the use of
special tools and skills. It is recommended to entrust this operation to qualified persons.
All types of faults must be rectified by RAIDER Authorized Repairers.
