Lubricants used to lubricate the chain.
The durability of the chain and the guide bar of the pole saw largely depends on the quality of the
lubricant used. Only lubricants designed for chain macines must be used.
Used or regenerated oil should never be used to lubricate the saw chain.
Chain guide bar.
The guide bar of the chain is exposed to particularly intense wear in its front and lower part. In
order to avoid one-sided wear due to friction, it is recommended to turn the bar every time the chain
is sharpened. At the same time, the groove in the rail and the oil holes must be cleaned. The rail
groove has a rectangular shape. Check the chute for wear. Glue a measuring line or smooth flat
object to the guide bar and the outer surface of a chain tooth. If you notice a gap between them, it
means that the gutter is OK. Otherwise the tire is probably worn and needs to be replaced.
Guide gear.
The drive gear is an element that is particularly susceptible to wear. If visible signs of wear on the
sprocket teeth are noticed, it must be replaced. The worn sprocket further shortens the durability of
the saw chain. The sprocket must be replaced by an authorized workshop.
8. Work with the pole saw.
Before proceeding with the planned work, you should familiarize yourself with the points containing
the rules for safe work with the pruner. It is recommended that you first practice cutting unnecessary
pieces of wood. This will help you learn more about the capabilities of the pole saw.
You should always follow the safety rules.
The pole saw can only be used for cutting wood. It is not allowed to cut other materials with it.
The intensity of the vibrations and the effect of the bounce are different when cutting different types
of wood.
It is not allowed to use the pole saw as a lever used for lifting, moving or dividing objects. In the
event of a chain jam, the engine must be switched off and a plastic or wooden wedge driven into the
cut slot to release the saw. Then turn on the saw again and carefully start cutting.
You do not need to press hard on the pole saw when cutting. There should be only a little pressure
when the saw is running at maximum speed.
If the pole saw gets stuck in the slot during cutting, you should never pull it by force. This may result
in loss of control of the pole saw and injury to the operator and / or damage to the pole saw.
Wait until the engine reaches maximum speed before cutting.
Maintain high speeds during operation.
Let the chain cut the wood. Press the pole saw lightly.
In order not to lose control, you must stop pressing the pole saw at the end of the operation.
Bounce protection.
"Bounce" means the movement of the guide bar of the pole saw chain upwards and / or backwards,
which can occur when the pole saw chain with its front part rests on an object.
When switching on and during operation, you must hold the pole saw firmly with both hands.
When bouncing, the pole saw is out of control and the chain may become loose.
Improperly sharpened chain increases the risk of bouncing.
Cutting with the front of the bar should be avoided, as this can cause the pole saw to bounce back
and forth suddenly. When working with the pruner, full equipment must always be used, as well as
the appropriate work clothes.
Disassembly of the safety devices, improper maintenance, maintenance or incorrect replacement
of the guide bar or chain can increase the risk of injury in the event of a bounce. It is not allowed to
perform any reconstructions of the pole saw. In case of using an arbitrarily reconstructed pole saw,
the user loses all rights arising from the warranty. Loss of warranty may also result from the use of
the pole saw in violation of the information contained in this manual.
Cutting.
You can only cut wood or wood-like materials.
Before cutting, make sure that the pole saw does not bump into stones or nails, as this could cause
the pole saw to slip off and damage the chain.
Avoid situations where the working pole saw could touch a wire fence or the ground.
When cutting branches, support the pole saw as much as possible and try not to cut with the front of
the guide bar.
