Installing a Video Memory Module

Your PC is supplied with 1 MB of video memory. If you need to have
more video memory to display more colors, higher resolutions, or for
increased speed, you can install up to 2 MB inside your PC. The PC has
one socket for a 1 MB video memory module (order D3404A). Some of
the available video resolutions are listed below (refer to page 86 for
more detailed information on video resolutions).
Resolution: Video memory required for these colors:
16 colors
640 x 480 1 MB
800 x 600 1 MB
1024 x 768 1 MB
1280 x 1024 1 MB
1 Disconnect the power supply cord.
2 Remove the computer's cover and power supply (see pages 24 and
26).
3 Align the video memory module directly over the socket. Slide the
memory module into the slot at 45°. Firmly press the memory
module completely into the connector.
