Replacing or Installing a Memory Module
NOTE
Use only HP memory modules provided for your PC model. The use of
other memory modules is not supported. For information about

A continuity module should be installed in any memory slot that does
not contain a memory module. Continuity modules are flat on both sides
(they have no soldered components) and lower than memory modules .
If you are installing only one memory module, it must be installed in the
slot nearest the processor.

Main Memory
1 Remove the PC's cover (described in this chapter).
2 If you have a minitower, lay it on its side.
